Bayou Brawl Adventure Race

*Race packets will be handed out at 7:00am*
***We recommend racers arrive at 7:00am sharp (when the gates to Bay Area Park open) to warm up, stretch, set up bikes, sign waiver, plot course, etc***
***RACE STARTS PROMPTLY AT 8:00AM SHARP!!!!*** RACE LOCATION Start location is scheduled to be at Bay Area Park in Pasadena, TX (7500 Bay Area Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77508)
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Must be 18 years of age or older
Experts/Elite Class should be able to finish the course in 3-5 hours
Beginners/Intermediates should anticipate to finish in 5-7 hours

Teams of 2 = $130 (does not include boat rental)

NON-SUPPORTED RACE
We have decided to design this race using only one main transition area - your team will grab your gear (kayaks and bikes) off of your vehicles yourselves - or if you choose to have a support crew that is fine also! BOATING NOTES
*Teams must provide their own kayaks and pfd's *The only restriction for the boats is that they must be a non-motorized human-powered canoe or kayak *Teams can use single or tandem kayaks
BOAT RENTALS We Recommend Southwest Paddlesports www.paddlesports.com (coordinate boat rental/pick-up/drop-off on your own!! Southwest paddlesports can help find a way for you to carry your own kayaks!!!)
REFUNDS Refund Policy: You are entitled to a refund, minus the cancellation fee until 2 weeks prior to the start of the race.
Cancellation fee of $10 per person.
Solem Racing is not responsibility for refunds for cancellations in the event of natural or national emergencies. Natural emergencies may include, but are not limited to severe weather including heavy rain, snow, tornados, hurricanes, river flooding, heat spells and cold spells. National or international emergencies may include, but are not limited to military conflicts, terrorist attacks, security threats, war, and heightened security alerts.

Volunteers are needed to help man Check Points and to help as additional support crew. Contact Race Director. Get a discount off the next Solem Racing event by volunteering.
